Compensation well in excess of £500k
Challenge
Due to a large transmission line on steel lattice towers (pylons) one of the UK's major residential developers was unable to fully develop their site. The local planners had insisted on stand off distances outside of the industry standard, thereby potentially reducing a claim.
Solution
Hamer Associates gave relevant advice on clearances and compensation allowing the developer to approach the planners from an informed position. The developer received the optimum consent for the site and subsequently, through negotiation, Hamer Associates were able to secure compensation just short of £1m.
