Barn conversion with a two storey extension
Challenge
A Worcestershire landowner contacted Hamer Associates as he wanted to carry out a barn conversion with a two storey extension prior to selling it. An overhead electric line was preventing him from carrying out his development. The potential value of his property was being restricted due to the prescence of the line.
Solution
Hamer Associates acted quickly in recognising that the electricity company had weak rights for the electric line. They struck up negotiations with the electricity company which resulted in the removal of the overhead electric line at no cost to the landowner.
