Challenge
With the 2012 Olympic Games being awarded to London it posed a real development headache. The area outlined for the Olympic Village was criss-crossed with many overhead electric lines. The LDA and ODA were looking for a feasible and least costly strategy to have the lines removed or undergrounded.
Solution
Hamer Associates were consulted at an early stage and gave sound advice and workable strategies that allowed the LDA and ODA to make informed decisions. The overhead electric lines have now been undergrounded in the largest single undergrounding operation in the UK.
